Corinna Helenelund is an artist based in Helsinki, working mainly with textile sculptures, installations and weaving. A starting point for her work are the points of intersection between the inner and outer world: how our emotional worlds affect our experience of the environment and how the spaces we move through affect our being. In recent years, Helenelund’s artistic work has been guided by light and rest, as well as changes that cause people to spend more time horizontally and at ground level: years with a small child, illness or meditation practice.

Helenelund studied at the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts. Her work has been seen in solo and duo exhibitions at Sinne, HAM-gallery and Sculptor Gallery in Helsinki, at the Finnish Institute in Stockholm and at das weisse haus in Vienna, as well as in group exhibitions at Oulun taidemuseo, Milieu in Bern, Pitted Dates in Helsinki, WAM and Titanik in Turku, at Kunstverein Göttingen, Norrköpings Konstmuseum, EKKM in Tallinn and The Community in Paris, among others. 2020-2022 she was a resident at Pro Artibus residency Villa Snäcksund in Ekenäs, and 2018 at HIAP, Helsinki.
